I would like to share with you Christmas cards which my little angel Gabby gave to me and her mom. I’m so very happy about them. They are simple cards whose greetings sum up what are some of the truly important things in life as well as in this season of hope and love, the Christmas season.

Hearts Philippines Update and The Christmas Season

I forgot to write it on this website but I posted on my Facebook Timeline more than three months ago that I may undergo a medical operation of my heart in this month of December. I may no longer need an operation. Truly, thank God!

I was so happy about the result and my little angel, Gabby was so happy about it. And my doctor was happy, too. I followed her medical advice, although I still smoke a lot; and I took the prescribed medicines. It worked well; of course, I will visit her again in the hospital next year, in January, to have a check-up and an operation is a real possibility.

As for my little angel, Gabby, she is truly an angel. She prays for me. She prayed for me and she even asked her teacher and classmates to pray for my healing. This is the second time that my little angel has been involved in the healing of my ailments. The first one had to do with my high blood pressure. It, too, was healed.

As for my personal faith, it was made stronger. I pursued the idea of healing through faith with reckless abandon; if the devil was around during my moments of prayer, he would not have known what hit him so very badly.

To be honest, I consider the days after my last visit (December 13, 2013) to my doctor as bonuses, or in spiritual terms, blessings. Whatever will be in the future is no longer as important as the fact that I did not undergo an operation this month.

I would like to share a similar experience. This happened more than five years ago. I was playing with my little angel, Gabby, when she entered, suddenly and unintentionally, the room where a prayer meeting was about to end. The pastor was asking the group members what they would like to pray for. And I was also asked; although I did join the prayer meeting, occasionally, I was not a regular member of the prayer group. It was a prayer for my country and it was a request which my country needed at that time. We, with my little angel included, prayed for it. Two weeks later or so, my prayer request appeared to have been answered. The pastor and the members who attended the prayer meeting were witnesses to this.

If someone have told me this kind of stories (which I have just shared with you) during those times in my life when I questioned the existence of God, I surely would have felt happy for the person but at the same time I would have given the person so much rational explanations for this sort of experiences.

Finally, I pray: “God bless my little angel, Gabby.” And please enjoy her faith expressions.
